Obituary for Earl C. Mooney
Earl C. Mooney, 82, of Egypt, passed away March 24, 2014, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. He was married to Joanne L. (Dittmar) Mooney for 63 years. Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Jacob and Loretta (Smith) Mooney. An Air Force veteran, he served his country during the Korean War. He was the operator and proprietor of Mooney;s Teenage Center and Mooney;s Unpainted Furniture, N. Catasauqua. He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Catasauqua. He was a past-president of the Southwarks Hose Co., Catasauqua. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a lover of all animals.Survivors, Wife, daughters, Deanna wife of David Winch, Dianna wife of John Kraynick, Doreen wife of Ed Painz, Denise Gillette and companion, Jonathan Stackhouse; 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, George, and a sister, Shirley.Services: 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 28, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, with the Rev. Gary L. Walbert, officiating.
