Obituary for Earleen P. Costello
Earleen P. Costello, 89, of Coplay, passed away February 20, 2021, at Sacred Heart Senior Living in Northampton. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert M. “Al” Costello for 52 years before his passing in June of 2007. Born in Coplay, she was the daughter of the late Earle G. and Genevieve (White) Proctor.
Earleen was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and the Sacred Heart School of Nursing. She worked for over 39 years as a Registered Nurse in the nursery at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, where she was privileged with assisting at the birth of each of her six grandchildren. Earleen was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Coplay where she was a very active volunteer and longtime member of the Altar & Rosary Society.
Earleen will be lovingly remembered by her sons, A. Michael and his wife, Deborah, of Whitehall; James and his wife, Regina, of Bethlehem; David and his wife, Deborah, of Slatington; daughter, Kathleen, wife of Harrison Litzenberger of Whitehall; grandchildren, Mark, Kristin, Lisa, Kevin, Diana, Michael; twelve great grandchildren; sister, Joan C Kunkle of Northampton; and nieces, Karen and Lori. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Earle G. Proctor, Jr. and sister, Patricia A. Petrasovits.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Earleen’s memory to St. Peter’s R.C.C. at 4 S 5th St, Coplay, PA 18037.
