Obituary for Edward A. Thomas, Jr.
Edward A. "Butch" Thomas, Jr., 56, of Coplay, passed away October 26 at Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Edward A. Thomas and Kathleen M. (Miller) Thomas of N. Catasauqua. He was the proprietor of the Log Cabin, Coplay. Butch enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. He was a member of the Coplay Saengerbund, American Club of Coplay, West Coplay Maennerchor and the Alliance Fire Co., Northampton. He attended St. Peter Catholic Church, Coplay. Survivors: Mother; son, Hunter Thomas of Northampton; sister, Susan Thomas of Point Pleasant, NJ; nephew, Conner Lucero; longtime companion, Ruthann Schwartz of Whitehall. Services: Friends and family may call 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 31, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Msgr.
