Obituaries
Edward D. Tomcics, 75 of Whitehall passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 25, 2024. Born in “Darktown” he was the son of the late John A. Tomcics and Hilda A. (Dunbar) Tomcics.
He was the loving husband of Barbara (Markle) Tomcics with whom he shared 43 years of marriage this past March.
Edward served honorably as a Gunnery Sgt. in the U.S. Marines and was stationed in Vietnam. He was a Forger for Phoenix Forge and retired after 40 years of employment.
To know Ed was to love him. He was a fixture in the “Darktown” community. He was affectionately known for wearing his little black hat.
He enjoyed working on his RT Charger and Challenger. He loved his dogs and animals. Edward will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife Barbara, daughters Marcia Pacchioli, Bethany Landis, brothers Joseph (MaryJane), James (Linda), grandchildren Kaylee, Arabelle, Madasyn, Samantha and Ashlee, best friend Stanley Mesuch and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers John, Robert, Michael and Daniel.
There will be visitation on Friday, January 3, 2024, at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Coplay, 327 Chestnut Street, Coplay, PA. 18037. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Steve Pense will follow in the parlor at 12pm. Interment at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Allentown.
