Obituaries
Edward was a welder with Fuller Co. for many years before retiring. He was a lifetime member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister, sang in the choir, worked on the Monday Morning work crew and a member of the Young at Hearts Seniors. Edward was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He loved gardening, bowling and their Saturday night dinners with Don and Nancy. Edward served in the U.S. Coast Guard during peacetime. He was an avid Mets, Eagles and a Duke University fan.
Surviving along with his wife Lucille are daughters Mary Kay wife of Eric Koetteritz, Eileen wife of Richard Lang, son Edward and his wife Marge Suranofsky, brother Bernard and his wife Maxie Ferenchak; 10 grandchildren, one step grandchild and 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters Mary, Kay, Irene, Frances and brothers Jim, Andrew, Joseph and John.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 14, 2015 at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 1229 Third Street, N. Catasauqua, 18032. His viewings will be held at 6:30-8:30 PM Sunday, December 13th and 9:30-10:30 AM Monday at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, 18032. Interment will follow at St. John Fisher Holy Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his name, payable to the Special Olympics 980 Harvest Drive, Suite 203, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
