Obituary for Edward M. Wiessner
Edward M. Wiessner, 89, of Northampton, passed away August 25, 2014 in Whitehall Manor. He was married to Theresa M. (Zgebura) Wiessner for 60 years. Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late Frank and Ida (Bodisch) Wiessner. A member of Mack Local #677, he was an assembler for Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown and Macungie. Previously, he was a blacksmith for the former Giant Cement Co., Egypt. He was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Eddie was a honorary member of the Coplay Saegerbund. Survivors, Wife, daughter, Karen wife of Michael Oswald of Greentown; grandchildren, Kim, Clint, and Krystal; great-grandchildren, Breana, Mia, and Matthew. He was predeceased by brothers, Frank, John, William, Raymond, Alfred; and sisters, Ida Emma, Margaret, and Anna. Services: Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2014, Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton. Viewing from 9 to 10:00 a.m. Friday, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay. Interment, with military honors, St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Whitehall. Contributions: In lieu of flowers to QUEENSHIP OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH c/o the funeral home 18037.
