Obituary for Edward Philip Buzza
Edward Philip Buzza, 89, joined his heaverly family on April 12, 2014 after a stay at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. Born March 12, 1925, he was the son of the late Andrew and Katherine (Stenga)Buzza. He was a graduate of Whitehall High School and attended Rutgers University. An army veteran of WWII,he served as a corporal in the 104th Infantry Division, the Timberwolves. He was in combat status in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany, and was present at theliberation of Nordhausen, A German concentration camp. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star. For 32 years, he was a programmer, analyst and systems designer for the Social Security Administration in Baltimore, MD. He retired as Deputy Assistant Bureau Director of Data Development supervising over two hundred employees. He was listed in Who's Who in Goverment in 1975-1976. In 1979, Ed and his wife retired to Valrico Fl, and was the education director for the Tampa PC Group. In 2001, he moved to the Brandywine area of Macungie. Ed was an accomplished artist and avid reader. His knowledge, like his library, was diverse, and he was articulate in many areas, such as photography, wood-working, and leather tooling. Ed was extremely generous, not only to his family, but also to various charities. He was the embodiment of savoir faire and joie de vivre-a blithe spirit, with a cheerful enjoyment of life.Survivors: Sisters, Doris Potank and Frances Hewko, both of Northampton; Helen Pfeiffer wife of George Pfeiffer of Whitehall; Barbara of Allentown; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.Services: 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, April 16, 2014, Robert A.
