Obituary for Edward Snow
Edward Snow, 93 of Allentown, formerly of Bayonne and Cranford, NJ, died Monday May 3, 2010 at Phoebe Home in Allentown. He was the husband of Elizabeth Anne Snow of Allentown with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage in December of 2009. Edward worked as an expediter for 20 years for N. L. Industries before retiring. Prior to that he worked for Anheuser-Busch and Getty Oil companies. He was an active member of the Cranford Methodist Church of Cranford, NJ and active for the past 23 years at Asbury Methodist Church in Allentown. Edward served in the South Pacific Theatre during WWII, from 1942-1946 in the 35th U.S. Naval Construction Battalion know as “The Seabees”. Surviving along with his wife are a daughter Diane Ledebur; son Thomas Snow; brother Stanley Snow; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Memorial services will be held at 11am Thursday May 6th, 2010 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown, 18104. Call from 10-11am at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be in his name payable to the American Heart Association, 212 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, 18016.
