Obituary for Elaine M. O'Connor
Elaine M. O’Connor, 89, of Whitehall, PA. passed away peacefully on August 7, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. Formerly of New York, she was daughter of the late Michael Draddy and Anna (Powers) Draddy. She was the wife of the late Edward J. O’Connor with whom she shared 49 years of marriage before his passing in July of 2009.
Elaine was a Librarian for 15 years at Patchogue – Medford Library on Long Island. She was an active member of her former church, St. Joseph the Worker in East Patchogue. She attended St. Mary’s Church in Catasauqua. She was very active in the communities in which she resided. She had a passion for helping people and enjoyed volunteer work. She volunteered for 35 years at Brookhaven Hospital in East Patchogue and helped at the Catasauqua Food Bank.
Elaine had a zest for life and enjoyed socializing and traveling! She was an active member of Stump Jumpers camping group. She kept very active in the Fellowship Community. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Edward M. O’Connor and his late wife Frances, Michael A. O’Connor and wife Loretta, daughter, Jeannine Craver and husband Scott; son, Thomas L. O’Connor and wife Marie; grandchildren; William O’Connor and wife Denae, Jenee Craver, Megan Muller and husband Brandon, Ryan O’Connor and wife Alex, Morgan O’Connor and fiancée Jack Buckles; great grandchildren; Grayson O’Connor and Sagan O’Connor. She was predeceased by her brothers; William, Bud, Ron and Michael Draddy.
There will be a calling period on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Fellowship Community located in the Zentz Community Center, 3000 Fellowship Drive, Whitehall, PA. from 10-11a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd., Calverton, New York 11933, Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 12:00 P.M.
