Obituary for Elizabeth A. Tisdale
Elizabeth A. Tisdale, 86 years, died Monday September 19th 2016, at her residence in Fellowship Manor in Whitehall. Liz was the wife of the late Warren Place. Born in College Station, TX., she was a daughter of the late S.D. and Emma E. (Wilmes) Snyder.
Liz worked as the Home Economics teacher in the Whitehall Coplay School District for 26 years before retiring. She was a very active member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Allentown, where she sang in the choir, helped bring the elderly members to the church and volunteered for many church dinners and functions.
She is survived by a son Paul Tisdale; sister-in-law Shirley Snyder; niece Robin, and nephews Lee and Mike. She was preceded in death by brothers Richard and Vernon.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Allentown Rescue Mission, 355 W. Hamilton St., P.O. Box 748, Allentown, PA 18105-0748.
