Obituary for Elsie J. Selady
Elsie J. Selady, 91, of Coplay, passed away on April 21, 2024, in her residence surrounded by her family. She was the wife of John A. Selady with whom she shared 59 years of marriage before his passing in 2021.
Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Petrasovits. Elsie worked as a seamstress for the textiles industry.
She was a member of the Coplay Saengerbund. She enjoyed the casinos and playing the card game “Crazy 8’s”. She always made herself readily available to all her neighbors, her kindness will forever be remembered. Elsie was a member of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Coplay.
Elsie is survived by daughter Lisa Selady of Whitehall and son John Selady of Coplay and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice c/o the funeral home.
