Obituary for Elsie K. Balliet
Elsie K. Balliet, 96, formerly of Coplay, died January 21, 2016 at the Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was married to the late Sherwood B. "Dutch" Balliet, Jr. for 45 years. Born in Whitehall, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Duld) Yudt. She was a postal clerk at the Coplay Post Office and previously a sewing machine operator at several area garment mills. She was a member of Trinity UCC Church, Coplay. She was a lifetime member of the Rose Croix, Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Coplay Senior Citizens. Survivors: Son, Sherwood B. "Woody" Balliet III and his wife, Patty of Whitehall; daughter, Lisa wife of Joseph Taschner Jr. of Northampton; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie L. Schrampf, a grandson, Raymond B. Schrampf; 4 brothers; 4 sisters. Services: Friends and family may call 10-11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA 18037, followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Coplay Cemetery. Contributions: In lieu of flowers to Trinity UCC Church c/o the funeral home.
