Obituary for Elsie M. Reed
Elsie M. (Toth) Reed, 90 years formerly of Catasauqua died August 20, 2016 in Cedarbrooke Fountain Hill Annex, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Raymond P. Reed. Born in Coplay she was the daughter of the late Frank and Emelia Toth.
While raising her family, Elsie was involved in community organizations in Catasauqua such as the Women’s Club, The Garden Club, Friends of The Library, and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Along with spending time with her family and friends, Elsie enjoyed crafting, cooking, and entertaining. Elsie also worked at Macy’s Department Store as Payroll Clerk. Elsie loved to sing and her sense of humor was enjoyed by many friends and family members. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Catasauqua.
Elsie is survived by daughter Laurie wife of Jacky McCall of Plymouth Meeting, sons David Reed of Catasauqua, Daniel Reed and companion Debbie Moses of N. Catasauqua and Timothy Reed and his wife Susan of Whitehall. Elsie has 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Scott Paradise at 11:00am Wednesday August 24, 2016 in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua, Pa. 18032. Her viewing will be 10:00am until 11:00am Wednesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 417 Howertown Road Catasauqua, Pa. 18032.
