Obituary for Elsie M. Strausser
Elsie M. Strausser, 91, formerly of Penn Forest Twp., Whitehall, Allen Twp., and Catasauqua, died July 23, 2014 at Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton. She was married to Paul S. Strausser for 72 years. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Ellen (Nagle) Menges. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Catasauqua. Elsie enjoyed bingo, casinos, ceramics, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors: Husband, Paul S. Strausser, daughter, Nancy A. wife of Otis Wallhofer of Jim Thorpe; grandchildren, Ann wife of Anthony Adams, Paul Wallhofer, great-grandchildren: Corbin and Kyla Adams. She was predeceased by brothers, Charles and Paul, and a sister, Esther Brewer. Services: Memorial Services at 11:00 a.m.Monday, July 28, 2014, St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Road, Catasauqua, with the Rev. John Hart, officiating.
