Obituaries
Emily T. Hornak, 97, of Northampton, passed away on May 18, 2023, at Fellowship Manor with her family by her side. Born in Whitehall, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Frisch) Rothdeutsch.
She was the wife of the late Edward B. Hornak, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage prior to his passing in October of 1996.
Emily was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Stiles. She was employed as a seamstress for a variety of garment factories in the area before retiring. Emily also worked as waitress for many years at the former Miller’s Diner in Northampton and loved playing cards with family and friends.
Above all she loved spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Emily is survived by her daughters Linda M. Hacker and husband Edward G. Jr., Sharon R. Radakovits; grandchildren Dana L. Hacker, Scott E. Hacker; great grandchildren Ryan C. and Sean E. Subetto, Kaylee R. and Abigail M. Hacker and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Frank, Charles, Joseph, Alfred, and August, sisters Mary, Rose, and Eleanor.
There will be a calling period at 9:30am, Monday May 22, 2023, at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA 18037. A funeral service will follow at 10:30am Monday at the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Coplay.
