Obituary for Emma Louise Schlener
Emma L. Schlener, 80 years, of Allentown, died Saturday January 30th, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Allentown. She and her husband David L. Schlener would have celebrated 57 years of marriage this May. Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Edith E. (Heberling) Sperlbaum.
Emma was a former member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Allentown. She enjoyed playing bingo with friends and Mountainville Hall. Emma loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving along with her husband David, are her children David Louis, Jr., Randal S. and wife Machelle and Roger W. and wife Allison; daughters Christine Azar and husband Sami, and Carolyn Blust and husband Shannon; brother Raymond Sperlbaum and wife Ann; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Emma was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
