Obituary for Emma T. Fahringer
Emma T. Fahringer, 93, formerly of Allentown, died on Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 due to Covid complications. She was the loving wife of the late LeRoy R. Fahringer and enjoyed 57 years of marriage before his death in 2012. Born in Schoenersville, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Anna (Fiedler) Abbott.
Emma was an active member of Christ U.C.C. Schoenersville for many years. Graduating from Catasauqua High School in 1945, she went on to work for Fuller Co. as a typist. She also was formerly employed at Hess’s Westgate Snack Bar, Piercing Pagoda, and Queen’s Nutritional Products.
Emma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her pleasures were simple: chocolate, mashed potatoes, cats, bird-watching, flower gardening, needlepoint, crocheting, puzzles and board games. Her greatest strengths were her empathic nature and nurturing spirit. Her greatest joy was being with family and friends who will miss her greatly.
She is survived by her daughter Joanne Pavlacka and husband James; son Robert W. Fahringer and wife Kathryn; and step-son Lee J. Fahringer and wife Beth; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a stepson John; sisters Alma and Arlene and a brother Bill.
Due to current restrictions services will be held at a later date. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Catasauqua is entrusted with arrangements.
