Obituary for Esther A. Dewalt
Esther A. Dewalt, 79, of Catasauqua, died with her family by her side, Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown. Born in Hokendauqua, she was a daughter of the late James and Claudine (Leabold) Herman. Esther was the wife of Donald A. Dewalt and celebrated 58 years of marriage together this past April.
Esther was a lifelong member of the 1st Presbyterian of Hokendauqua and a graduate of Whitehall High School, class of 1962. After high school, Esther worked for Universal Pants in Northampton, Sears in Whitehall and Thermal Fisher in Fogelsville. She was a loving and caring woman who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish fond memories include her husband Donald, daughter Dawn Farber; sister Linda Hardy; grandchildren Michael A. Farber and girlfriend Ally and Samantha Furlong, great granddaughter baby “A”, grand dogs Bentley and Gunner and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother James Herman, sister Nancy Peters and stepbrother Raymond Bowman.
