Obituary for Evelyn M. Helker
Evelyn M. Helker, 88, of Luther Crest, died March 26, 2006 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Born in Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late John S. and S.Elizabeth (Scott) Matchette. She was married for 63 years to Robert B. Helker, who died March 6, 2006. She attended Temple University and retired from the Catasauqua branch of the former 1st National Bank of Allentown, now Wachovia. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua. Survivors: Daughters, Barbara H. Weidman of Emmaus and Judith P. Helker of Downingtown, Pa. She was predeceased by two sister, Louise M. Simmons and Eleanor M. Wertman. Services; Private. Arrangements by the John H. Brubaker Funeral Home of Catasauqua.
