Obituary for Florence D. Sommer
Florence D. Sommer, 74, of Walnutport, passed away April 21, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. Born in Coplay, she was the daughter of the late Gustav and Hedwig (Marakovits) Marinkovits. She was a press operator at Stanley-Vidmar Inc., Allentown for 30 years retiring in 2012. Previously, she was a sewing machine operator at the former Cross Country Clothes, Egypt. Survivors: Daughter, Kathy Jo Sommer; son, John F. Sommer III, both at home; brother, Walter Marinkovits of Northampton; sisters, Helen Handwerk, Hilda Freund of Maryland. She was predeceased by brothers, Edward and John Marinkovits; sister, Agnes Drauch. Services: Friends and family may call 9-10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 25,2015, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay followed by a service at 10:00 a.m. Interment, St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Whitehall. Contributions: To Animals in Distress c/o the funeral home 18037.
