Obituaries
Florian graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1950 and from the Allentown Business College in 1952. He was employed by L.F. Grammes and Air Products on whose behalf he spent a year and a half in Gioia del Colle, Italy. He served Pet Milk as office manager and then went on to be in sales of pre-engineered buildings for Wickes, Morton and Umbaugh Pole Building companies for twenty years until his retirement in 1999.
Florian was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Coplay and served on their choir for 30 years. He was also a life member of the Coplay Saengerbund where he sang as well for 30 years. He was a member and Past President of the Nazareth Chrysanthemum Club and a grower of prize winning chrysanthemums. Florian was a Master Gardener Emeritus with the Penn State Master Gardener Extension Center program enjoying all flora and fauna his entire life.
When Florian met the love he never expected to find, he married her and her four sons and made them all his own. Following Christ's teachings, over the years he helped his mother as well as three nieces and always warmed the lives of others with his love, kindness and sense of humor.
Florian was married for 47 years to his best friend and most special love, Janice Black Armbuster Geider.
Along with his wife Janice he is survived by four sons, Lee Armbuster and wife Karol, Lynn Armbuster and companion Mary, Kevin Armbruster and wife Robin, and Adam Armbruster and wife Suzanne; nieces Carol Illari and husband Mike, Donna Zastko and husband Rudy, Lisa Rayden and husband John and nephew Florian Fodor; 8 grandchildren Nathan, Travis, Chad, Joshua, Amanda, Jessica, Alec, and Douglas; 8 Great Grandchildren Adrielle, Ethan, Ashton, Jane, Dylan, Brody, Caroline and Charlotte. Florian was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Fodor and Rose Vamos and his beloved poochies Topolina, Oliver and Griffin.
Florian made the world a better place.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30am Monday March 26th, 2018 at St. Peter's Church, 4 S. 5th Street, Coplay, 18037. There will be a calling period from 9-10am at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., formerly Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St. Coplay, 18037. Memorial contributions may be made in his name payable to the church.
