Obituary for Floy Flemming
Floy T. (Drendall) Flemming died at age 98 at Country Meadows Assisted Living in Allentown on November 3, 2005. She was a daughter of the late George and Beulah (Whitebread) Drendall. Born in Mountaintop, Luzerne Co., PA she was the widow of Wilburt D. Flemming. Floy graduated from Fairview High School, Mountaintop, PA and did secretarial studies at Wyoming Seminary, Kingston, PA. She was a long-time member of Asbury United Methodist Church where she volunteered services in the office. She was employed by The Morning Call for about twenty years as a telephone receptionist. Floy was a sweet and caring woman whose presence on this earth was a gift to all of us. She will be missed by many. Survivors: Her son - John Flemming of Denver, Colorado. Brother - Harry Drendall There are 5 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren She was predeceased by daughter Joan (Flemming) Budurka, and 4 brothers. Services: Will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown, PA 18103. A calling period will be held at the church prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The John H. Brubaker Funeral Home, 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua, is in charge of the arrangements. Contributions: The family requests that contributions in Floy's memory be made to the Asbury United Methodist Church.
