Obituary for Floyd "Butch" A. Faust
Floyd “Butch” A. Faust, 76 years, of Whitehall, formerly of Catasauqua, died Monday June 25th, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospice at Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Karen (Newhard) Faust and would have celebrated 52 years of marriage this September. Born in Lower Macungie, he was a son of the late Floyd E. and Arline G. (Foster) Faust.
Floyd was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church in Catasauqua. He worked for many years as a computer operator for Merchants National Bank and most recently for Binney & Smith Co. before retiring. Floyd was a Catasauqua High School graduate, Class of 1959 and a graduate of the former Churchman’s Business School of Easton. He enjoyed gardening and cooking, especially his own chili sauce and cheeseball. Floyd was a long time member of the Catasauqua Lions Club. He loved Penn State Football and was a fan of Joe Paterno.
Surviving along with his wife, Karen, are his sons Eric Faust and wife Danielle and Brian Faust and fiance Jessica; sisters Gloria, Brenda and Jean; brothers Kenny and Eddie; grandchildren Lauren, Justin, Brandon and Marissa and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday June 29th, 2018 at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, PA 18032. His viewing will be from 9:30am-11am Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in his name payable to VIA of the Lehigh Valley, 336 W Spruce St, Bethlehem, PA 18018 or to the Spina Bifida Association, 1600 Wilson Blvd, Suite 800, Arlington, VA 22209.
