Obituary for Francis "Fritz" W. Miller
Francis “Fritz” W. Miller, 91, of Bethlehem and formerly Naples, FL, died Sunday July 3, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the loving husband of Elsie J. (Schrampf) Miller and celebrated 62 years of marriage this past March. Born in Catasauqua, he was the son of the late Anthony and Lottie (Diehl) Miller.
Fritz graduated from Catasauqua High School in 1948 where he was the president of his class. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. During his long career, Fritz created several large housing developments throughout the Lehigh Valley and constructed over 1,000 homes. He built and operated the former Olde World Inn restaurant. Fritz also served on the board of directors of the First National Bank of Bath for 17 years.
Above all Fritz was a family man and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving along with his wife Elsie is his daughter Lisa Miller Fox and husband Michael; son David Miller and wife Debra; grandchildren Alexander DeNagy and partner Lyall Glait; Katie Miller and Ross Miller; step granddaughters Kate and Emma Fox. He was preceded in death by his sister Betty Miller.
Memorial services will be held at 11am Saturday July 16, 2022, at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, PA 18032. There will be a calling period from 10-11am Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church c/o the funeral home.
