Obituaries
Frank J Kroboth, age 92 and husband of Rose (Thomas), passed away at the Lehigh Valley Hospital inpatient hospice on March 8th. He was born in Coplay, PA, was the son of Rudolf and Anna (Failer) Kroboth, and was a parishioner at St John the Baptist RC church in Whitehall.
He was a packhouse worker and committee man at Keystone Cement when he retired in 1992. He was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and served 3 years in Germany. A life member of the Coplay Saengerbund, he was also their Treasurer for many years. He was a life member of the Coplay American Legion and the West Coplay Maennerchor and a member of the Northampton Hungarian Club and the Tri-boro Sportsman Club. Frank also enjoyed swimming, a good cigar, and was an avid bowler who in his post-retirement years bowled a 300 game and an 800 series.
He is survived by his wife, children Rosemarie (Rich) Dimovitz, Frank (Judi), Barbara (Tim) Stringer, Patricia (Jody) Harwi, Thomas, and John (Kelly), 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and sister Teresa of Florida. He was predeceased by his sister Anna Marie of Coplay.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at St John the Baptist RC church in Whitehall on Wednesday, March 13th at 10am, and a private internment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association or Cancer Society.
