Obituary for Frank Marshall Smith
Frank Marshall Smith, 78, of Coplay, passed away October 6, 2016 at home. He was married to Rita M. (Herzog) Smith for 54 years. Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Vesper and Eva (Kleintop) Smith. He was of the Lutheran Faith. A U.S. Naval veteran, he was a Corrections Officer and head supervisor of maintenance at Lehigh County Prison, Allentown, retiring as a Lieutenant in 1980 with 20 years service. Subsequently, he was supervisor of maintenance at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest, retiring in 1990. He was an avid hunter. Survivors: Wife, daughter, Loriann Smith Morelli and husband, Cosimo; sisters, ELsie Smale, Gloria Choy; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Diane Stanche, Mildred Greenzweig, Mary Fritz, Ethel Exner; brothers, Henry, Clark, James, Lee. Services: Private. Arrangements, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA 18037. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, to Lehigh Valley Hospice c/o the funeral home.
