Obituary for Gary H. Lovenberg

Gary Herbert Lovenberg

Born: January 2, 1955

Died: February 16, 2025

Town of residence: Catasauqua, PA

Born: Morristown, NJ

Gary touched a myriad of souls. He left an impression wherever he went. Gary was born and raised in Morristown, New Jersey and moved to Matawan, New Jersey in 1965 where he attended high school. He was the proud owner of Vision Systems, Inc in Union New Jersey, specializing in reupholstering furniture and utilizing his ty-bond formula for material preservation. Married for 20 years to his wife Gina, they resided in New Jersey with their beloved daughter Christine Lovenberg, and eventually relocated to Clay, New York. Gary was a family man, and he loved spending time with his daughter Christine and the rest of his family. He cherished his close relationship with his parents Emil and Barbara Lovenberg, as well as his siblings Cindy Harriger, Carol Kelly, and Douglas Lovenberg. Gary was a proud uncle who looked forward to visits, video chats and phone calls with his nieces, great nieces, and nephews. Gary resided in Catasauqua, PA for the past 9 years where he was lovingly cared for by his daughter Christine. They enjoyed many sporadic drives together, attached at the hip, and together battled through Gary's extensive health declination, including his severe COPD that encouraged many hospitalizations and lung cancer. He fought remarkably strong and always bounced back impressing everyone. Gary was a true fighter who loved life. He was well-known for fishing, loving the beach, and socializing with his friends at the gas stations. In his later years, he became well-known for his rockstar energy drinks, smoking, socializing, witty and random remarks, TCM movies, and was a major Eagles fan. He had a way of making his presence known and never forgotten. Gary made many close bonds with people whom he adored wholeheartedly living in the same building as him, as they brought him joy on a daily basis. They took care of him and became family to him. Gary was a firm believer in Jesus Crist, and now heaven is his eternal home. Gary will be missed by all. Online memories for the family may be shared at www.brubakerfuneralhome.com. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Catasauqua is entrusted with the arrangements.
