Obituary for Gary S. Deily
Gary S. Deily, 74 years of Catasauqua died Wednesday October 22, 2014 in Old Orchard Health care Center in Easton. Born in Allentown he was the son of the late Philip C. and Claire A. Deily. He is the husband of Kathleen (Drosselmeyer) Deily and they celebrated 53 years of marriage April 8, 2014. Gary is a retired truck driver having worked for Mail-Well Envelopes, formerly Boise Cascade, for many years. Prior to that he worked as a diesel truck mechanic for Modern Transfer. He is a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Catasauqua, a life member of the East End Fire Co. in Catasauqua, a member of the Sportsman Golf league at Willowbrook and a member of the Catasauqua American Legion Post 215. Gary served his country as a Lance Cpl. In the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Surviving with his wife Kathleen are son Gary J. Deily of Wilmington, N.C., brother Jerry husband of Donna Deily of Northampton and 3 granddaughters; Christine, Meredith and Stephanie. He was preceded in death by a daughter in law Barbara. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday October 25 in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church 417 Howertown Road Catasauqua, Pa. 18032. His viewing will be in the church from 10:00am until 11:00am Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given in his name payable to the Wounded Warriors Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675. The Brubaker Funeral Home Inc., of Catasauqua is in charge of arrangements.
