Obituary for Genoveffa C. Thomas
Genoveffa C. Thomas, 98 years of Greenacres, Florida formerly of Catasauqua died Wednesday January 28, 2015 in her residence. Born in Haywood West Virginia on March 23, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Carmella (Saccone) Cerullo. She was predeceased by her husband James P. Thomas in 1965. Genoveffa is survived by her children, Linda T. Colgan of Wyckoff, New Jersey, James P. Thomas of Holladay, Utah, Ronald D. Thomas of Woodland Hills, Utah, Telene T. Jacobs of Lake Worth, Florida and Debra T. Ballard of Draper, Utah, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and siblings Yolanda, Mary, Sylvia and Emerick. The family will receive friends from 7:00pm until 9:00pm Friday February 6, 2015 at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua, Pa. 18032 and from 10:00am until 11:00am Saturday in Salem United Church of Christ 615 Third Street Catasauqua. Her funeral service will be 11:00am Saturday February 7 in Salem United Church of Christ. Her interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, West Catasauqua, Whitehall Twsp. Following the interment service there will be a reception in the Jenota Club, 5th and Grove Streets N. Catasauqua. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in her name payable to Vitas Innovative Hospice 110 Century Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL 33417.
