Obituary for George "Joe" H. Albright
George H. “Joe” Albright, 85, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, at Above & Beyond at the Knights in Allentown. Born in Catasauqua, he was the son of the late Wilbur L. and Julia T. (Nicklas) Albright.
He was the loving husband of Carlene A. (Baus) Albright. with whom he shared 61 years of wedded bliss prior to her passing in July of 2024.
He was a graduate of Catasauqua High School (Class of ’57) and served honorably in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a foreman in the Pyrometry Shop at Bethlehem Steel for many years, retiring after operations in Bethlehem were significantly downsized.
George loved golf, cars and was very handy…he could fix anything. Above all, he was a great father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by sons Joseph P. Albright and wife Diane, Scott W. Albright, and wife Beth; brother Rev. Wilbur “Bill” Albright, grandchildren Amber, Michael, Eric and Heather and great grandchildren Jackson and Kenzie.
There will be a calling hour on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua from 10-11 a.m. A memorial service will follow in the parlor at 11:00 a.m.
