Obituary for Gerald C. Wisser
Gerald C. Wisser, 91 years, died Friday September 16th, 2016 at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth. He was the husband of the late Ethel R. (Ray) Wisser. Born in West Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Herbert and Edna (Heffelfinger) Wisser.
Gerald was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Whitehall. He was a WWII Navy Veteran serving in the South Pacific on the USS Salamonie. Gerald was a member of the Fullerton Amercan Legion Post #367 and the Fullerton Fire Co. #1. He worked for 20 years as a supervisor for Hanover Homes before retiring in 2005.
Suriving are his daughter Nancy Redcay and husband Raymond of Bethlehem; sons Robert Wisser and wife Rebecca of Stroudsburg and Gerald Wisser and wife Teracina of Pittsburgh; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made payable to Lehigh Valley Hospice or the American Heart Association in his name care of the funeral home.
