Obituary for Gerald D. "Jerry" Case
Gerald D Jerry Case, 79 years of Catasauqua died Friday March 28, 2014 at his sons residence in Huntington Valley, Pa. He was the husband of LaRue M. (Hess) Case and they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary November of 2013. Born in Catasauqua he was the son of the late Theodore and Florence (Nagel) Case.
Jerry worked as a welder for Universal Atlas Cement Co. of Northampton for 30 years and then 10 years with Keystone Cement Co. before retiring. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua. Jerry loved basketball and especially watching his sons and grandchildren play Catasauqua Basketball.
He was a loving son, a loving brother, a loving father, a loving grandfather and especially a loving husband to wife LaRue, sons Doug (Deborah Dougherty), Scott (Susan), Keith (Maurice Gross) and daughter Beth, grandchildren Nicole (Scott) Dorn, Jared, Victoria, Dougie, Josh and his great grandchildren Amelia and Owen. He is survived by his sisters Doris (Will) Moser and Phyllis (Paul) Balliet. Jerry was preceded in death by sister Kathryn (Daniel) Diehl and brother Theodore Jr (Dolores).
Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, April 2 in the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, Second and Pine Streets, Catasauqua. His viewing will be 7:00 to 8:30pm Tuesday, April 1 in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua, Pa. 18032. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name payable to the CHS Booster Club c/o the funeral home.
