Obituary for Gloria J. Ebright
Gloria J. Ebright 69 years of Whitehall died Wednesday December 29, 2010 in her daughter’s residence in Orefield. She was the wife of the late John A. Ebright. Born in Allentown she was the daughter of the late Charles and Hilda (Mullen) Silfies. Gloria was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ Mickleys and previously a long time member of Salem United Church of Christ in Allentown where she sang in the chancel choir and played in their bell choir. She had worked as a production worker for Kraft Foods of Fogelsville for 32 years before retiring. Surviving are her daughter Debra wife of Peter Bergquist of Orefield, brothers Franklin, John and Elmer Silfies, sister Jacqueline Street and grandchildren Jason and Kevin Jagielski and step grandchildren Karin and Jeff Bergquist. She was preceded in death by a son John A. Ebright Jr., brother Charles and sister Lenora. Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. William Falla beginning at 11:00am Tuesday January 4, 2011 in St. John’s United Church of Christ Mickleys 2918 MacArthur Road Whitehall, Pa. 18052. Call 7:00pm until 8:30pm Monday in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua and 10:00am until 11:00am Tuesday in the church prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made in her name payable to the St. John’s U.C.C.
