Obituary for Gloria M. Gourniak
Gloria M. Gourniak, 87, formerly of Ormrod, died September 28, 2014 in Lehigh Center, Macungie. She was married to the late Joseph Gourniak, Jr. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Lillian (Micks) Legath. She was employed as a sewing machine operator in several Lehigh Valley mills and previously, was an administrative assistant for PPL Electric Co., Allentown. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton. For many years, she was a volunteer for the North Whitehall Ambulance Corp (NOVA). Survivors: Sons, Joseph and his wife Blodwyn of Phillipsburg, NJ; Peter, Michael, and John, all of Allentown; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Stephen of Cherryville, sister, Antoinette of Florrisant, CO; nieces, nephew. She was predeceased by a daughter, Judith. Services: Friends and family may call 8:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay followed by a Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m., St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton.
