Obituary for Grace M. Dobler
Grace M. Dobler, 94 years, died Saturday November 19th, 2016 at her home in North Catasauqua. She was the wife of the late Paul E. Dobler. Born in N. Catasauqua, she was the youngest daughter of the late Edwin C. and Jennie S. (Schuler) Rockel.
Grace worked for 42 years as the secretary of St. John’s U.C.C. Mickley’s, retiring in 2014 at the age of 92. She was a long time member of St. John’s U.C.C. Mickley’s where she was active in the church consistory. She volunteered at the Veterans Clinic in Allentown, the PTA at the Catasauqua Area School District and loved baseball, politics and family.
Grace was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by her daughters Delores wife of Robert Barr, Lois wife of Dale Roth, grandchildren Jason Roth and girlfriend Heather, Jarrett Roth and wife Jessica, Kyle Barr and wife Kami, Rebecca Cox and husband Mark and Natalie Barr; great grandchildren Jacey, Matt, Alex, Naomi, Izzie, Bayne and Fynn. She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Her funeral services will be Wednesday Nov. 23, 2016 at 11:00am in St. John’s United Church of Christ Mickley’s 2918 MacArthur Road Whitehall, Pa. 18052. Her viewing will be Tuesday November 22 from 7:00pm until 8:30pm in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua, Pa. 18032 and on Wednesday in the church from 10:00am until 11:00am.
