Obituary for Gregory P Farkas

Gregory P. Farkas, 69, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 4th, 2017 at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth. He was the husband of Faye M. (Smith) Farkas. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Louis and Ella (Frantz) Farkas.

Gregory was employed as an ad builder for The Morning Call for 39 years, retiring in 2008. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and also a 1965 graduate of Dieruff High School.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and gambling, and had a great sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife, sons William and his wife Sherry of Anniston, AL and Craig of Northampton, brothers Karl and wife Diane, and Louis, grandchildren Tyler, Mitchell and Tatiana Farkas and Cole Landers, and a great granddaughter Ella Bond.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday July 8th, 2017 at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 327 CHESTNUT Street Coplay, PA, 18037, formerly Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home. A viewing will be held from 12:00-1:00pm on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Vietnam Veterans Of America, 8719 Colesville Rd., Suite 100
