Obituary for Harold J. Schupsky
Harold J. Schupsky, 90, formerly of Coplay, passed away September 20, 2105 at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was lovingly cared for at Fellowshp Manor, Whitehall. Born in Hokendauqua, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Tomashko) Schupsky. A 1948 mechanical engineering graduate of Lehigh University, he retired from Foley Machinery(Caterpillar Equipment), Piscataway, NJ. Previously, he was employed at Stanley Flagg's, Pottstown PA and Xerox, Rochester, NY. A WWII Naval veteran, he was a member of American Legion Post #426, Coplay. He was a member of Coplay Senior Citizens and served on the board of the Coplay Public Library. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Coplay, formerly serving on its church council and as its financial secretary. In his lifetime, he served as a teacher and volunteer in several Lutheran churches. Survivors: Sons, James and wife Roberta Ford, Mark and wife Maureen, Thomas and wife Beth, Stephen and wife Kathryn; 12 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; sister, Lydia Vidori of Vienna, VA. He was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Schupsky and longtime companion, Helen Rehrig. Services: Viewing from 10-11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015, St. John's Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., Coplay followed by a service at 11:00 a.m., the Rev. Timothy D. Boyer, officiating. Interment, Arlington Memorial Park, Whitehall. Contributions: To the church c/o Robert A.
