Obituary for Harrison H. Doyle
Harrison H. Doyle, 83 of North Catasauqua, died Friday May 4th, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital – Anderson Campus. He was the husband of the late Shirley (Whitby) Doyle. Born in Olyphant, PA, he was a son of the late Harry and Doris (Simon) Doyle. Harry was a long time member of the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua where he served as a trustee, deacon, elder and choir member. He served as a Combat Medic in the Army during WWII and the Korean War. He worked as a tool room analyst for Lucent Technologies (Western Electric) in Allentown for over 34 years before retiring in 1989. Harry was previously employed at former Hudson Coal Co. in Scranton. He was a 50 year member of the Kingsbury Lodge #466 of Olyphant and 32nd Degree Valley of Scranton Consistory. Harry attended Johnson Technical Institute of Scranton and was a North Catasauqua Judge of Elections for 8 years. Harry was always known for his big smile. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his children and grandchildren. Surviving are his daughters Carol and husband Richard Monaco of Hudson, OH and Patricia Doyle of Schwenksville; son John A. Doyle of N. Catasauqua; brother William H. Doyle of Peckville; grandchildren Anthony and Tyler Monaco; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday, May 11th at the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, 2nd & Pine Sts. Catasauqua, 18032. His viewing will be from 7-8:30pm Thursday May 10th and 9:30-10:30am Friday at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, 18032. Memorial contributions may be made in his name payable to the church.
