Obituary for Hector Luis Marquez
Hector Luis Marquez, 74, died peacefully at home on April 13, 2023 with his wife by his side.
Born October of 1948 in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Roberto Marquez and Cruz Reyes Feliciano.
He was the husband of Eileen (Rivas) Marquez with whom he shared 32 years. They celebrated 19 years of marriage on August 29, 2022.
Formally of the Bronx, New York, Hector worked as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service. He retired after 35 years of dedicated service. Hector served honorably in the US Army in Vietnam.
He was an avid bowler and domino player. He also enjoyed playing pool and played well. On weekends, you could find him spending quality time with his grandchildren or playing a few rounds of dominos with his crew: (Aaron, David, John, Tony & Ruben). He also enjoyed watching Bob Ross, cooking shows; bowling and golf on television.
He was a man of few words but always there when you needed him. Whether to ask for directions, a ride, recipes or where to purchase and find items, he was the “go to man”.
He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him. He was an amazing “PaPa” and his legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Eileen; daughter; Schdell (Marquez) Konovalov and husband Sergey; sons; Jason H. Marquez and wife Erika; Gary Marquez and wife Tanya; Aaron V. Marquez and wife Melissa; stepson, Jerry C. Moore, Jr.; brother, Miguel Angel Marquez, sister, Carmenhayde Marquez; grandchildren; Anthony, Jerry III, Jaelyn, Christopher, Mia, Aaron Jr., Charlotte, Javin, Arabella, Briella, Caden and Daniel as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 327 Chestnut Street Coplay, PA. 18037 from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. A funeral service will commence at 12:00 P.M. in the funeral home.

Héctor Luis Márquez, de 74 años, murió en paz en su casa el 13 de abril de 2023 con su esposa a su lado.
Nacido en octubre de 1948 en Gurabo, Puerto Rico, era hijo del fallecido Roberto Márquez y Cruz Reyes Feliciano.
Fue esposo de Eileen (Rivas) Márquez con quien compartió 32 años. Celebraron 19 años de matrimonio el 29 de agosto de 2022.
Formalmente del Bronx, Nueva York, Héctor trabajó como cartero para el Servicio Postal de el ustados unidos. Se retiró después de 35 años de servicio dedicado. Héctor sirvió honorablemente en el Ejército de los estados unidos en Vietnam.
Era un ávido jugador de bolos y de dominó. También le gustaba jugar al billar y jugaba bien. Los fines de semana, puede encontrarlo pasando tiempo de calidad con sus nietos o jugando algunas rondas de dominó con su equipo: (Aaron, David, John, Tony y Ruben). También disfrutó viendo programas de cocina y tambien programas de Bob Ross; bolos y golf en la televisión.
Era un hombre de pocas palabras pero siempre ahí cuando lo necesitabas. Ya sea para pedir
direcciones, un viaje, recetas o dónde comprar y encontrar artículos, él era el "ir al hombre".
Será profundamente extrañado y recordado con cariño por todos los que lo conocieron y lo amaron. Fue un “PaPa” increíble y su legado vivirá a través de sus hijos y nietos.
Será recordado con amor por su esposa, Eileen; hija; Schdell (Márquez) Konovalov y esposo Sergey; hijos; Jason H. Márquez y su esposa Erika; Gary Márquez y esposa Tanya; Aarón V. Márquez y su esposa Melissa; hijastro, Jerry C. Moore, Jr.; hermano, Miguel Ángel Márquez, hermana, Carmenhayde Márquez; nietos; Anthony, Jerry III, Jaelyn, Christopher, Mia, Aaron Jr., Charlotte, Javin, Arabella, Briella, Caden y Daniel, así como muchas sobrinas, sobrinos y amigos.
Habrá un velorio el miércoles 19 de abril de 2023 en Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 327 Chestnut Street Coplay, PA. 18037 de 11:00 a.m. hasta las ocho de la noche. Un funeral comenzará a las 12:00 p.m. en la funeraria.
