Obituary for Helen E. Harrigle
Helen E. Harrigle, 87 of Whitehall died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at her residence in Cedarbrook in Allentown. She was the wife of the late Raymond A. Harrigle, Sr. Born in West Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late Fred L. and Bertha L. (Roth) Eberhart. Helen worked at the former Fuller Sportswear in Whitehall for over thirty years before retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Whitehall. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo as well as cooking and baking. Helen loved people and the 18 years she spent living at the Catasauqua High Rise apartments. Survivors include her son Raymond, husband of Marian Harrigle of Catasauqua; her daughter Helen Tomcics of Catasauqua; her son Robert, husband of Nancy Harrigle of Lenhartsville and Renee, wife of Walter Werkheiser of Allentown; and 15 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Rita Harrigle, 3 sisters and 4 brothers Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, PA 18052 with Rev. Michael Bodnik officiating. Call from 9:30-11:00 am at the church on Tuesday prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made in her name payable to The American Lung Association, 2121 City Line Road, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
