Obituary for Helen E. Himmelwright
Helen E. Himmelwright, 91, formerly of Coplay, passed away on December 26th, 2018 at Above and Beyond Assisted Living, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Allen A. “Barney” Himmelwright and Frank “Mooney” Mills. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Katherine (Seier) Reinisch.
Helen was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Coplay. She was employed as a seamstress throughout the Lehigh Valley for over 40 years before retiring. She also bowled on several leagues. She was an avid bingo player, lovingly named the “bingo kid” by her family.
Survivors include sons Frank Mills of Peoria Heights, IL and Greg Mills of Hackettstown, NJ, grandchildren Justin (Kelli) Mills, Jessica (Quincy) Carey, and Jason (Katrina) Mills, and great grandchildren Faith, Kobe, Tiana, Nathan and Addison, an expected blessing in April. She was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Saturday December 29th, 2018 at Brubaker Funeral Home Inc. 327 Chestnut St. Coplay, PA 18037. There will be a viewing from 9-10AM on Saturday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Family Pillars Hospice 3910 Adler Pl, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
