Obituary for Helen M. Sedmak
Helen Sedmak, 96, of North Catasauqua, passed away on February 21, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg. Born in Whitehall, she was the daughter of the late John Sedmak and Mary (Cizmar) Sedmak.
Helen attended Whitehall High School. She was a seamstress for the garment industry for many years before retiring from the former Clyde Manufacturing of Northampton. She was a long-time member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church in North Catasauqua.
Helen is survived by her niece Bernice Newhard, and nephews Donald Cizmar, John, Jim and Joe Pail and Dr. Dennis Petro. She was preceded in death by sisters Anne Pail, Margaret Petro, brothers John Sedmak and Stephen Cizmar. There will be a calling period at St. John Fisher Catholic Church 1229 Third Street, N. Catasauqua, PA. 18032 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023. Funeral mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church. Interment to follow at St. Andrew’s Cemetery. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Catasauqua is entrusted with the arrangements.
