Obituary for Herbert Reeve
Herbert Reeve, 91, of Orefield died Tuesday May 8th, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of Bonita L. (Propsner) Reeve of Orefield. Born in Wigan, England, he was a son of the late Jack and Margaret (Wellings) Reeve. Herb was a long time member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Allentown where he was in charge of the coffee hour held every Sunday in the church parlor. He worked for many years as a Maintenance Supervisor at Lehigh University before his retirement. Herb served during WWII as a Merchant Marine. Surviving along with his wife Bonita are his daughters Shirley Reeve, Fern and husband Craig Breininger; sons Kenneth and wife Karen Reeve, and Robert and wife JoAnne Reeve; grandchildren Todd, Christopher, Nicholas, Johnathon, Matthew, Amy and Jennifer. Memorial services will be held at 11am Saturday May 19th, 2012 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown, 18104. A calling period will be held from 10-11am in the church parlor. Memorial contributions may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church Coffee Room.
