Obituary for Hilda M. Hanner
Hilda M. Hanner, 87, formerly of Whitehall, died March 20, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was married to the late Peter W. Hanner. Born in Coplay, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Seier) Solderits. She was a finisher for several local garment mills and previously was a cigar wrapper for the former General Cigar Co., Allentown. She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Whitehall and its Golden Agers.Survivors: Daughters, Kathleen wife of Michael Schorn of Reading, Denise wife of David Continenza of Whitehall; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Stella Wiessner, Anna Recker and two brothers, John and Emil.Services: 12:15 p.m. Monday, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m., St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Whitehall. Viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
