Obituary for Hilda R. Burker
Hilda R. Burker, 92 years of Coplay, Pa. died Wednesday January 2, 2019 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg, Bethlehem, Pa. She was the wife of the late Stephen F. Burker. Born in Stiles Pa. she was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Keppel) Nickischer.
Hilda was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Stiles. She was a seamstress for the former Clyde Clothing Manufacturing and a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking Pogaca’s, bingo and watching gameshows and the cooking channel. Hilda was a member of the Franciscan Friars of Easton. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons, Stephen J. Burker and wife Carol, David Burker and wife JoAnn and Bryan Burker, daughter Therese Royer and husband David, brother Joseph and wife of Mirla Nickischer, seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and Peeko the cat. She was preceded in death by sister Rose and Anna and brothers Frank, John, William and Julius.
Funeral services will be and 11:00 am Mass in St. John the Baptist Church on Saturday January 5, 2019. Her viewing will be 9:00am until 10:30 am Saturday in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 327 Chestnut Street Coplay, Pa. 18037.
