Obituary for Hilda T. Polzer
Hilda T. Polzer, 87 years, of Coplay. passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Polzer Jr. Born in Fogelsville, she was the daughter of the late George and Theresa (Wunderly) Gessitz.
Hilda was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Stiles, a member of the Altar & Rosary Society, the choir, and also the pierogi committee. She was employed as a sewing machine operator for the former Cross Country Clothing and Tama Manufacturing, both in Northampton, for many years before retiring.
She was a member of the Coplay and Whitehall Senior Citizens Clubs and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include a son Joseph G. and his wife Michele of Coopersburg, a daughter Susan C., wife of Joseph G. Gaston of Coplay, and sons Michael J. and his wife Cynthia of Whitehall, Jeffrey R. and his husband Edward of Seattle, WA, and Robert J. and his wife Karen of Kalamazoo, MI, a brother William Gessitz and his wife Jeannie of Seattle, WA, a sister Ceil Kostick of Allentown, grandchildren Anthony, Christopher, Carlos, Heather, Lisa, Ryan, Nicole and Jamie Lynn, and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers George and Charlie and sisters Pauline, Theresa, Mary and Johanna.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Friday January 26th, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 3024 S. Ruch St. Whitehall, PA 18052. A viewing will be held from 9-10am Friday at Brubaker Funeral Home Inc. 327 Chestnut St. Coplay, PA 18037, formerly Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church or the American Cancer Society, c/o the funeral home.
