Ida L. Beslanovits, 98, a resident of Fellowship Manor and a lifelong resident of Coplay, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 1, 2023. Ida was the loving wife of the late Joseph Leshko who passed away at a very young age. She later married Adolph Beslanovits and was his beloved wife for 55 years before his passing in June of 2011. Born in Stiles, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Gisella (Kohler) Newhard.
Ida was born and raised in the greatest generation, the WWII era. She knew the meaning of hard work and made sure to be a caregiver to anyone in need. She was a hard worker who always put everyone else’s needs before her own. Ida was a religious woman of strong faith who loved her parish, St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church of Coplay. She was an outstanding cook and baker, known for her Austrian and Slovak dishes. Above all, Ida loved her family with all her heart. She was a devoted mother to her two sons and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Ida will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Richard Leshko and wife Georganne of Sun City Center, FL and Thomas Beslanovits and wife Tina of East Allen Twp. She is also survived by her brother, Vincent Newhard and wife Karen of Cetronia.
