Obituary for James E. Brown
James E. Brown 88 years of Northampton died Wednesday May 13, 2009 in his residence. He was the husband of the late Viola G. (Wieant) Brown. Born in Centralia, Pa. he was the son of the late Evan and Cora (Newhard) Brown. James worked for many years as a self employed plumber. He was a race car owner and an avid fan of Grandview Racetrack, a member of the Emmaus Optimists Club for many years and a member of the Masons for 37 years. James served in the U.S.Army during WWII. Surviving are daughter Carol Ann wife of Joseph Murphy of Catasauqua, sons Richard A. Brown and companion Janet Beller of Bath, Nelson A. Brown husband of Peggy Brown of Bethlehem Twsp., grandchildren Joseph and Hunter Murphy, Kimberley Barnes, Tracey Croser, Kriss Kovacs, Rhonda Kovacs, Thomas Parent III, Stephen Parent and 10 great grandchildren. James is also survived by his companion Veronica Chomko, sister Dorothy wife of Edward Townsend, brothers Elmer, Edward and Dale. He was preceded in death by brothers Richard and Donald and grandsons Charles and Kevin Goleman. There will be no services. Brubaker Funeral Home of Catasauqua is in charge of arrangements.
