James E. Miller, 85, of Whitehall passed away peacefully at his home on May 3, 2024, with his loving wife by his side. Formally of Queens, New York and born in Johnstown, PA., he was the son of the late John S. Miller and T. Ross (Miller). He was the husband of Delores J. Miller with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Jim served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1958-1961. He was employed as an Alarm Technician for Honeywell, retiring after 24 years of employment. Prior to that he served for over ten years as a police officer with the NYPD in New York City. Jim was a car enthusiast, loved building model cars and was proud of his car collection.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; son Daniel Miller, daughter Deborah Hagicostas; grandson Lucas Hagicostas and several nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by a brother John S. Miller.
His viewing will be from 11am-12pm on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA, 18037. A funeral service will follow in the parlor at 12pm. Interment to follow at Arlington Memorial Park in Whitehall, PA. 18052.
