Obituary for James I. Dewalt, Sr.
James I. DeWalt, Sr., 76 years, formerly of Hokendauqua, passed away at Cedarbrook Nursing Home on Thursday, February 7, 2019. He was the husband of Linda (Peters) DeWalt of Cedarbrook. Born in Catasauqua, he was the son of the late Isaac and Margaret (Kester) DeWalt.
James was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua. Prior to retirement he was an accountant and manager at Keystone Coin and Stamp. He was a past member of the Coplay Fire Co. where he volunteered with the fire police and fire department. James was a graduate of the Allentown Business School.
Surviving along with his wife Linda are his sons James I. Jr. and wife Angel, Kevin and wife Karen, and Neil and wife Laura; brothers John DeWalt and wife Sharon and Larry DeWalt and wife Marylin; sister Eileen Kimmel and husband Ted; 6 grandchildren; I great granddaughter and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters Shirley and Carol.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday, February 11th, 2019 at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, 18032. His viewing will be from 10-11am Monday at the funeral home.
